Artificial Intelligence and property management: Innovating, yes – But responsibly

November 10, 2025 | Condominium, Conference, Expo, Innovation, Property Management, Software | Manager
The first AQGC Expo, held on November 6, 2025 at Hôtel Alt Montréal, brought together more than 150 condominium professionals around one central theme: how the property manager’s role is evolving in the digital age.
Proud to take part in the event, the UpperBee team was present both at the booth and on stage to discuss innovation, performance, and digital transformation challenges in real estate management.
A Key Workshop on Artificial Intelligence
Our CEO, Éric Deslauriers, CPA, participated in the workshop “Artificial Intelligence and Condominium Management: What Can We Really Expect?”, moderated by Me Bruno Bourdelin, founding lawyer at BBAC Avocats, alongside Ms. Émilie Aubé, Adm.A., Vice President of Finance and Administration at Sentinel Property Management.
Under Me Bourdelin’s expert guidance, the discussions helped demystify artificial intelligence and explore its practical applications in condo management, including:
- automated classification and intelligent reading of invoices
- assistance in drafting communications and notices
- automated processing of co-owner requests
- generating meeting minutes from recordings
But the discussion also highlighted a crucial point: AI only has real value when it is used with judgment and ethics.
Confidentiality and Responsibility: The Two Pillars of Reliable AI
A major theme of the workshop was data confidentiality and the protection of sensitive information — essential issues in a field where trust, transparency, and rigor are paramount.
As Éric Deslauriers emphasized:
‘‘Artificial intelligence unlocks enormous possibilities, but it cannot be adopted without responsibility. At UpperBee, we develop technologies that comply with the highest security and compliance standards, because trust is the foundation of our relationship with managers and their communities.’’
And as Me Bourdelin reminded attendees, professionals must now contend with new obligations stemming from Bill 25 on personal information protection, while also remaining vigilant about:
- risks of AI-generated bias or errors
- questions of liability in cases involving privacy breaches
- the need to train teams to use AI tools responsibly and critically
At UpperBee, this responsible approach is already central to our strategy.
We integrate artificial intelligence to make management faster, more accurate, and more human — all while meeting the highest security standards, including SOC 2 certification and full compliance with Bill 25.
UpperBee: Staying One Step Ahead for Property Managers
As a leader in real estate management technology, UpperBee once again demonstrates its role in driving innovation for condominiums and rental properties.
Our AI-powered solutions are already well established:
-
Automatic reading and intelligent validation of supplier invoices, reducing errors and processing time
And Éric Deslauriers also shared what’s coming next:
- Smart writing assistants to generate notices, emails, or professional communications in one click
- AI assistants capable of responding to co-owner or tenant requests 24/7
- Automated generation of meeting minutes (transcribing and summarizing meetings) to boost management team productivity
All these advancements share the same goal: freeing up human time for higher-value tasks — support, prevention, and relationships with co-owners.
A Day Filled with Insight and New Perspectives
Beyond the conference sessions, our booth was a major success, attracting many managers and partners eager to discuss modern management challenges and upcoming innovations.
These discussions confirmed a clear trend: managers are looking for more integrated, more secure, and more intuitive tools that allow them to focus on human-value activities rather than administrative burden.

AI That Supports Managers — Not Replaces Them
At UpperBee, we believe artificial intelligence should strengthen — not replace — human expertise. Our mission remains the same: providing managers with the right tools to simplify, professionalize, and elevate their daily work.
Because technological innovation only matters if it makes management simpler, more efficient… and more human.
