Unlike SOC 2 Type 1, which evaluates the design of controls at a specific point in time, SOC 2 Type 2 assesses the operational effectiveness of those controls over a defined audit period.
In our case, that audit period spans one full year.
This means our security, availability, and confidentiality controls were not only properly designed, they were tested and validated for effectiveness over 12 consecutive months by an independent auditor.
